1. Who we are

Oddbench is an independent maker of software, tools and experiments. These terms apply to every Oddbench product listed in the catalogue, for example ip-api, whether you buy it on the product's own site or through our checkout at pay.oddbench.co. A product may add its own terms on top; where they differ, the product's terms win for that product.

Questions about these terms: support@oddbench.co.

2. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders: you buy from Paddle, under Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice, charges the applicable tax and handles customer service inquiries and returns for the order. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, including tax where it applies.

3. Subscriptions and cancellation

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price of your plan, until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in the product's billing settings, through the link in your Paddle receipt, or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. One-time purchases, such as credit packs, are delivered once and work as described on the product's page.

Refunds are covered by the refund policy: within 14 days of any payment you can ask for your money back.

4. Accounts and API keys

Keep your account details and API keys secret. You are responsible for what is done with them. If a key may have leaked, refresh it in the product or tell us, and we will revoke it. We may revoke a key ourselves when it is clearly being misused, and we will tell you why.

5. Plan limits and fair use

Each plan includes the limits shown on the product's page, such as a number of requests a month. Requests above a limit may be refused or slowed down until the next period or an upgrade.

Do not use Oddbench products to break the law or other people's rights, to attack, probe or overload our systems or anyone else's, to get around limits or access controls, or to resell access to a product as a service of your own without our written agreement. If you do, we may suspend your access. Unless the misuse is serious or ongoing, we will warn you first and give you a chance to stop.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep every product reliable and fast, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service: maintenance, failures of networks or providers, and attacks happen. Products change over time. If a change takes away something you pay for, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you may cancel and get back what you paid for the unused part of the period.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation that is essential to the contract and on which you may rely (a cardinal obligation), and only up to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. These limits also protect the people who work on Oddbench products.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when a product or the law changes. For an active subscription we will tell you at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. The date at the top of this page shows the last change.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy notice.
